Mozilla announced the Mozilla Marketplace

Web Design

The Mozilla Foundation has announced the upcoming launch of an application store: the Mozilla Marketplace. It will be possible, like the Chrome Web Store, to find applications including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

The application store is not yet online, but should be presented by Mozilla next week during the Mobile World Congress. Developers will then offer to their creations, which will then be checked and possibly distributed on the platform where they can be monetized. Mozilla developers also warns that to submit their applications allows them to reserve the name in advance in order to dispose of at the launch.

The launch in question, just be held "later this year" according to Mozilla, which does not give more details about it. With a presentation scheduled for later this month in Barcelona, we expect that this platform will soon be available to the public as soon as Mozilla has enough content to propose.
